Well things are not looking to good right now in the weather area for Southwest MO.  The last 3 years at this time, we've been hammered with ice storms.  Looks like we will be in for one again this year starting Wednesday.  Their models so far, show a lot of ice and up to 4" of snow.  So far, Springfield is dead centered in this storm

I can handle the snow and love the snow, but darn ice... give me a break.  I hate it with a passion. 

Oh well.  If you see me disappear for a few days, you'll know why!

You are right Mike this stinks. I'm suppose to fish branson Thur.-Sunday. If the ice comes the trout will be safe.. I ain't drivin in it

The Weathermen are saying ,That same jet stream is also heading our way Friday  .... I Hate Ice..... ... Last year a major ice storm crippled Kentucky ........  ....No power for a week and to top things off........ .... I blew out my right knee taken out the #@*? garbage  Surgery and rehab for 4 months.......  ..... But there is a bright spot in all of this.........." Are you close to Padukah KY?  I drove through there going to Nashville.  Looked like we had bombed our own cities.  That's what Springfield looked like a few years ago.  Power out for up to 3 weeks in certain areas. 

They are now moving it to being more heavy snow than Ice right now.  It will change by noon

Thats the problem ....... They really don't know yet,.... to much uncertainty. I live in Louisville and yes that same Ice Bomb hit the whole state...... Many people went weeks without power and in the rural areas months .....150 million dollars damage just in Louisville alone. It took the good people from" GA Power" to get my power back on. With no power and Ice on everything, the night was filled with the sounds of a bowl of "Rice Chrispies" snapping trees and crackling limbs then these big pops......" War Zone" I have never seen a storm like that one "One Year Ago Today"

I hunt in Casey count KY. Last year when the storm hit , it literally missed my hunting spot by one mile. If you drove a mile away towards Liberty or anywhere else in the state) it looked like an atom bomb hit, but at my area it was untouched. Still they were without power for a long time, but no broken trees or wires . The drive along I-65 south going to the convention looked terrible, trees down everywhere even onto the highway. It was awful!
