Help Identifying Wood

Can any of you guys please identify these two wood species used to make these strikers?  Thanks.

Lou, Is the bottom striker in the top pic pretty hard?  It looks a lot like Ironwood. No idea on the other one.

If I had to guess I'd say Ironwood, but everyone knows I'm not too smart!  ;D

LOL...I love Osage too...I also got some Asian stuff that looks like that but lighter..Cant remember though..I think it was Asian Cocobolo...LOL  I know it aint Purple heart. RkLu

The more figured one looks like Cocobolo, the other Goncalo Alves (Tigerwood). Do they play well? Both woods that I guessed play very well.

They play very well, actually the best sounding strikers I've ever run on glass calls especially.

They're made by Alex.  I sent him an email to help identify them but I haven't heard back so I figured I'd post them here.

I don't think it's Ipe only cause it's not a very heavy/dense wood, the plain looking one.

My guess would be the  shinny one is asome type of rosewood, The dull one looks like ironwood.

I'm gonna guess bocote...It has the right grain and I know Alex likes bocote for strikers.....

I would say that the bottom one in the top pic is definitely cocobolo.

I don't know about the top one, could be bocote, but bocote usually turns more brownish colored with age and exposure to light.  If the top one has well defined black growth ring divisions, then I would lean towards bocote.

I kind of figured the bottom call to be Cocobolo but I can't for the life of me remember what the other wood is.  I do know that it sounds incredible on glass.
