I am a beginner call maker and wanted to see if anyone would be willing to point me in the right direction on getting more rasp out of my boxes. I have my rails tapered and around 1/8" which is what I have read is recommended to get the good rollover. My boxes are also non checkered and one piece. I just don't remember reading much on "rasp" specifically on here, or the other boards. I think I will be fine going forward if I can figure out which direction to go to get the raspy sound. I prefer that in my mouth calls, pot calls, etc.
