Red Cedar pocket call
« on: January 17, 2010, 03:32:04 PM »
This is a pocket call I made, I wanted to try making something a bit smaller and have been working on a couple of different designs. It is Eastern Red Cedar, shorter than my other short boxes with a smaller sound chamber, it was challenging to tune, in part due to the grain, but a good experiment overall.
Thanks for looking! Dave

Looks great and sounds pretty good too! Ya need a picture with somthin in it to give the call some scale in size. Looks great though.

Sharp caller! Don't ya just love tuning them smaller calls?  RkLu  All cedar is a challenging combo, you did a great job with it.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments! I'll post up some more later with another call for size reference. This isn't a lot smaller than my regular short boxes, slightly smaller than a Lynch. I think it will be a good little call, the blank I made this one from had some crazy grain which is always a challenge!
