Ever have this happen?
« on: September 05, 2017, 02:54:47 PM »
Well, I guess it could be worse but I saw this call on eBay yesterday and it was a buy it now for $9.95. A Don Murry slate call with striker. With shipping a total of $14.95. I paid for it and got my pay pal receipt and was told it would ship today. So, checking on it today, I notice that the seller has returned my money and a note saying sorry, this was suppose to be an auction not a buy it now! What the FFFFFFF!

Not sure what's up with that. IMO seller should live with his mistake.

As a business man he should have stood by it.  It's not your fault that it had the wrong price on it.  Go in any store.  Yours included.  The price marked is what you pay.

Sure did and I even attempted to leave him a really bad, negative feed back. Trouble is he is a gold seller and you can't leave negative feed back for seven days! That is a bunch of *poo* *poo* *poo*!

That stinks Bill!  This happened to me a few times on eBay.  Nothing you can really do.  Nobody is gonna MAKE the seller give up the item.  It is very frustrating.

That bites!  Seems eBay protects their big sellers. Their money makers. But if he erred in the listing he should have honored it. You bought as advertised in good faith. Done deal. As JMCK said, it was or should have been, a valid contract at that point.
