Got my first gobbler of the year and hopefully not my last.

Got my first bird of the year this morning.  I called in 3 to the same spot.  I took one, my ex boss missed 2. 



19 pounds 13 ounces
10" beard and 1" spurs.
Not bad.  Still have one more tag and hope to get to hunt  Ohio some.

Tagged out in West Virginia.  Hope to get to Ohio soon.
This one is a little better than the last.
Called him in with a glass over slate call that I made and my Dymondwood striker.


I'm done for the year.  3 of 4 tags filled and this is the best of them.

 Beautiful day for gobblers. I heard 9 on the roost and once they flew down they got very quiet. Made few clucks and a series of soft yelps on one of my glass over carbon fiber pot calls and a hen answered me at 6:45. Several minutes later, I caught movement to my left and this old boy came strutting in at 15 yds.

21 lbs. 9 oz. 10 3/4 inch beard and 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 inch spurs.
