Here are some crow calls I wanted to share with you..I've been pretty busy in the shop this fall turning trumpets mostly but I like to make these from time to time.
This is a brief sound file of what they sound like...https://soundcloud.com/david-hodgkins/crow
Thanks for looking, Dave

Thanks guys..I appreciate the kind words..here are a few more I've made and I hope to have some ready to go out in the next couple of weeks. The first call is all acrylic..the first I've made with an acrylic mouthpiece and I leaned a few things on this one..always a benefit! Next is a snakewood call with holly and last black ash burl which was sold as part of a set with trumpet that I posted in the trumpet section. Thanks for looking, Dave

Thanks guys..I used Lancaster Maple from Laurel Mountain Forge..more commonly used on fine Longrifles..kind of fond of the gun stock finishes on maple. I've tried aqua fortis but never quite fully mastered the technique and some chemicals set off my asthma, the Lancaster Maple finish is alcohol based and allows depth in the grain IMO

Thanks Dave,  was curious.  It looked "long gun-ish"!  Been playing around with AF and it certainly IS a variable kinda thing.  But a beautiful deep finish when its rite.
