I also love sipping a hot cup of coffee from the thermos as the sun comes up waiting for that first gobble of the morning. 
That's the best coffee I've ever had.

For me it is enjoying what GOD has put here for man in this life ,his love for man is so great that he gave his all that we as his creation may have the freedom to hunt the wild turkey, I am able to get away from the every day drama of this world that we live in, no news, no crying about who got to be president, just the sounds of GODS nature. amen

For me, it's the GOBBLE.  I've all but quit hunting deer, but I would probably still be a gung-ho deer hunter if they only gobbled...

it seems that everyone has the aura of what the hunt is about--hard to explain ALLTHE FEELINGS you get building up for the hunt and during the hunt. Theres nothing like it in my book. Add a buddy to share the experience with, and it takes it to another level...we are so graced to enjoy the LIFESTYLE hunting turkey birds---they are special animals

That I am able to be the predator I know I was intended to be. Having a friend along to share it is priceless. The absolute favorite thing is having a newbee beside me when Tom is about to make his appearance and I am shaking uncontrollably anticipating the harvest.

I won't say I never shake at all when alone but, put the gun into another's hands when Tom is approaching and one might think I have Parkinson's. The rush is my favorite.

A youth once missed 4 longbeards one morning before connecting on a fine Tom. I was a real mess on the last 4 longbeards that came in together. I told him to stay still and that I could not stop shaking. He said ya I feel you.
