Here is one of several crotch walnut Striblings that I am working on.  The grain was looking too good to hide, so I popped it with a little Danish Oil.

You are correct.  I wrote  a post on here bout the difference.   A picture of the rounded paddle that I make and one like Mr. Stribbling did on the right.   the Stribling double tone is at the 45 degree falloff.  Very hard to master his method.  His is like an upside down flat bottom with 45 degree sides.

Johns stribblings are a great sounding call. I have heard them and have been impressed with John's craftsmanship in each call he makes.

Here is the finished Cutting call.  It is in Mississippi River Persimmon from from a club on the River, Burke Landing.  It is over Steve Browns crotch walnut from SC.  95% of the original Striblings were in in this combination.  Tuned Gobbler left and raspy hen left.  Sounds just like my 30 year old personal cutting call.  Mr.E
