Just got the cabin reserved and April cannot get here fast enough!  Darn cold weather here in MO has me itching for Spring and I'm a winter loving fool. 

Now if I can just convince Daryl to not blow their ear drums out this year... we'll be all set   

Also, it'd be nice if someone would teach him to cook... but that's pretty pointless too

I was just talking we should have an Osage Roost hunt and Kansas would be my pick! 

It's going to be Osage or broke this year!    I love those bright yeller calls! 

I should start booking my hunts with people that can hunt with me

Bruce we will get together.  Told Daryl and we'll meet somewhere.  Not sure what is actually out that way, but we'll figure something out!  We'll be there from the 12th till the 17th.

My buddy in IL has a cousin in KS that owns 15,000 acres and I can hunt it if I wish.  I have to see if I can get something together for next year and maybe be able to get a group hunt together.

If you pull that off I would like to come up and be the camp cook and maybe call for a couple of the guys that might need some help. I have only hunted Easterns in Kansas but it is one of my favorite places to hunt. I will be there this year hunting Kansas/Missouri from April 18th-April 22nd.

hunter22 I figured you'd chased some Rio's in Kansas too...  You think the Eastern hunting is good in Kansas... the Rio's are amazing!

We need to get together and figure out what to do and all.  I know where Daryl and I go there is hardly no one there and thousands of acres to hunt.  If you go during the week, you'll rarely bump into anyone.

Where I hunt in Kansas the locals do not turkey hunt the best I can tell. The only hunters I ever see are the couple other guys hunting with me in camp. The outfitter I hunt with has several thousand acres leased in Kansas. Last year I was by myself whenever I killed both my turkeys in Kansas. He dropped me off in a good area and came back to get me a few hours later which is what I asked him to do. He normally takes his two gobblers with a bow after all his hunters have left in the spring. He is the best turkey hunter I have ever seen and he is only 30 years old.
