Hot start to fall calls. (Call 5 added. Thanks)

I do not have an A/C shop, so I have been waiting since the beginning of of the Summer for a cool spell to work on a few calls.  Just checked the heat index when I came in from underneath my Big Ash Tree with these 6 Turpin blanks.  102 heat index.  Come on COOL SPELL. Mr.E

I cut a 4ft lower trunk section from a 150 year old sycamore in Leland,Ms.  My friend Fred Abide from there owned and helped me cut it.  It Had been drying about a year.  It is kinda neat that it was cut just behind the new Mississippi Hunting and Fishing Museum where a couple of these calls will be on display.  Should open this fall or winter.  Mr. E

 Here is the first of those six boxes.  I am running out of the ebonized black walnut for lids. This one has a nice Honduran Mahogany that matched up well I thought with the Snakebelly.  Still too hot to work on calls in the Mississippi Delta😜😜😜

Just about finished with the tuning.  Has two old hens one slightly higher in pitch, both with good rasp and YAWK.  Good purr, cluck,cutt, cackle and gobble.  Fine hunting box with a lot of character. Mr. E
