Something cool I didn't know

Black locust naturally flouresces under black light.  According to LT there are others that glow slightly. Another way to test wood types.

Yep thats pretty cool!  Paduak, sumac, yellowheart and a bunch more if I remember right.  Gonna have to go get a black light for the shop I guess.  Steve, just curious...how DID you end up with a black light in your shop....   Flashing back to your younger days......

I picked up a black Light flashlight for about $7 at Wally world.

I posted the link you sent me under the pictures. I checked my wood supply and nothing glows like Black Locust.

 SO.....................what you are telling me, Steve is that all my BL strikers are warning the turkeys as to where I'm sitting while hunting them?? I'm UV active!!!  LOL!

Bill, I thought about that but I and several others have called in enough gobblers with a Black Locust striker that I'm not worried about it anymore.
