Turkeybuster coco trumpet sneak peak ( updated 12/13)

I'm going to update this post through completion of a coco trumpet for Jon, Turkeybuster. Jon wanted a nice coco Natural Addiction trumpet, and as you know they all start with a piece of wood. I was working on strikers and decided to round out coco trumpet blanks this afternoon. Jon this is what I set aside for you.

Very nice piece of coco that should make a pretty horn, The grain in that wood is outstanding thanks Del good choice.

Del makes a first class trumpet Jon. Heard them in Nashville and they are killer!

I bought one of those trumpets from Del at Nashville and will say that they do talk the talk.  Very easy to run and look great.  Jon, you won't be disappointed.

I got one from Del before our fall season started this year it's bocote , very sharp looking and well made. I called a lot of birds in with that call and I used it almost exclusively the whole season. He also made a matching deluxe lanyard to go with the call , what a outfit.

Glad to hear so much positive feedback. Billy and I work hard to put out a good looking call that kills turkeys. We have been enjoying working as a team to, keeps the shop interesting and projects moving along. Weve been busy the last few weeks. Got 140 custom pots built, working on trumpets, strikers, and mouth calls now. May have some hats too this year.

Then we pull a tooth from an Elephant. Jon, Billy got these turned tonight, while I worked on the rubber lip stops.

If I remember right Billy took home some sweet ribbons last year at Nashville.  I ran some and talked at length with him....he makes a great sounding trumpet.
