info is hard to come by and most people ant givin it away. when i started i took pictures i found and used somthing in the back ground to find the scale. This is how i learned. After you talk to people and they trust you they'll tell ya more. Best to learn on your own it sticks with ya better. You'll have to build more then one to get it right. Roger Latham wrote a book called the complete book of the wild turkey lots of dimensions in it i found my copy on amazon for 3 bucks shipped!

good luck and God Bless

Colt P is right and also most call makers have "similar" dimensions but not exactly the same especially with looooong boxes.

the reason i'm asking is ,, in the nwtf callmaking contest that coming up soon, what's the differents between the two calls..there has to be a set measurement for a short and long box, how else  would they know where to place the call for the callmaking contest.. I make box calls but I don't call them short/long boxes. i'm in between somewhere *wha*

I'm not a box call maker either but here are the official rules.  Dimensions are in there.  Download the 2016 Division II Rules I'm assuming Hunting Class. Hope this helps and hope to see you there.

I think it says the dimensions in the rules if I'm not mistaken. I'm not 100% sure on that though.
