The Swamprooter

Here is a call that I am just finishing up.  I posted the box blank under general discussion a while back to show how you can modify Old School Calls.  This one is, as the name indicates, for my good friend and callmaker out of Oxford, Ms.  -  Joey "Swamprooter" Buchanan.  It has an extended back end on the Mineral Stained Poplar box.  The lid is some of Steve Brown's Ebonized Walnut with a brass top hat.  Swamprooter does not like any finish on his box as he hunts gobblers with his own recurve Swamprooter bows.   He will have birds close for extended periods of time, waiting on that perfect killing shot, so this one does not have a finish.  Really like this customized Turpin Shortbox with extended handle.  Mr. E
