Brian, I have made calls from American Chestnut , Chinese Chestnut and Horse Chestnut I would be game to try Sweet Chestnut give it a go and see what you can get from it
With the results that I have gotten from the Chinese and Horse Chestnuts I would feel very confident that Sweet chestnut will work pretty well it is very close to being the same as Horse Chestnut
Give it a try and if you don't want to try it send me a piece I'll try it
