I've handled thousands of them. Almost all 330's for beaver. If you handle them the right way, it will never happen. Had one for an ankle bracelet once for about 3-4 minutes, but that was the only mishap I ever had. And that one was enough for me.
A beaver had knocked it over and to the side of where I had set it. I stepped on it. Learned to use my rake ahead of my feet after that and never had a problem.
Luckily, it appears that that trap was a smaller one. Maybe a 220. If it had been a 330, he wouldn't have gotten it off with a shoe string.
