Finished up this Holly and Amboyna scratch box this afternoon. Snake Wood and Holly in the works... ;)

 Bill, i have a question,, when you sand thw wood before finishing. how do stop the , what i would call, bleeding between the 2 different colors??  as sanding, red to white, makes the white , reddish.....

In rough sanding, you will get some bleed over but in the finish sanding, all the bleed over gets cleaned up. I have a Snake Wood and Holly in the works and it had some bleed over but I got it cleaned up nicely.
