Bear Call for NWTF

This is the call I entered this year. It was a great show with some amazing displays of talent, from the working calls to the decorative ones. The box is made from Walnut and Tupelo. All the animals and birds are carved from Tupelo and painted. And there is some color scrimshaw inlaid on the sides. Surprisingly, it didn't sound too bad. I hollowed that bear out to take weight out of him, which helped the sound some.

Thank you for the comments on this call. I really love being part of this community. One day I hope to make the trek from Oregon to Nashville to meet the people from the Roost. I wish I lived closer to there. But I'd spend all of my free time trying to hang out in other people's shops and learn more about turkey call making.
