Elk/Turkey art on boxcall
« on: February 06, 2015, 05:39:56 PM »
Austin Bott sent this great poplar and cherry box for me to burn an elk scene on one side, turkeys on the other and a bugling elk on the lid. On it's way back to get the finish put on and on to it's new home. Thanks Austy

Kelly, I can't thank you enough for doing this call for me!!  You took those couple of ideas that I sent along with the box call and brought them to full life in every scene on that call.  That bow hunter "At Full Draw" standing next to those pine trees to the right of that huge Bull and his cow out in the meadow will really bring that scene right home when the new owner gets it as he is an archery Elk Hunting Junkie.  I can almost hear that bull elk on the lid of that call screaming out a bugle and is EXACTLY what I had envisioned when I spoke to your about what I wanted on the lid.  It's like that bull is stepping out through some juniper trees screaming as he is coming in, a scene that I have had the pleasure of enjoying.  And to top that off that gobbler scene is out of this world, so much definition in everything you do.  Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kelly, I received that box call back today and all I can say is HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The pictures you posted of the finished call are beautiful but to have the call in hand now those pictures just do not do your art work justice.  There is so much detail in every scene on that call that words can not describe, it's something you have to have in hand to soak it all in.  And the archer at the edge of the meadow at full draw turned out awesome.  I better make sure that when I give this to its new owner when I'm done putting the finish on that he is sitting down or he's going to fall down!!  Thank you so much.
