A Special Gator Gobbling Stribling

Finishing up this Special Gator Gobbling Stribling for Jeff Estridge (limhnger) on here.  Jeff has given me a bunch of wood for calls and supplied this crotch walnut for the box and ribbon mahogany for the lid.  I wanted to do a special call for him and I have been working on this call for quite a while.  I still have a little to ways to finish it up.  It has a new wrinkle for me.  I found some brass cap gas fittings about a year ago while looking for brass hose barbs for top hats.  I thought these would make a neat built in chalk holder in bottom of the box handle.  It is not a new idea, but I will be offering this for the Stribling East of the Slash and Gator Gobbling Stribling models for a little lagniappe in the future.  I will have this box on display in Nashville,  booth 324, Mississippi Callmakers association.  Stop by and check it out.  Mr. E

That is some piece of walnut for sure John.  The chalk holder is a great touch.
