Here is another Persimmon topped Turpin shortbox hunter that I just finished up. Persimmon from my good friend, and Oxford, Ms. callmaker, Joey Buchanan. He makes his own Swamprooter recurve bows and has taken the Royal Slam with them. His hunting club is Burke Landing near Clarksdale, Ms. on the Mississippi River and this is where the persimmon came from. This piece was from some cut after the 94 ice storm. The mahogany is some very fine aged Honduran Mahogany from Steve Brown.
