Fall turkey hunt in Ohio
« on: October 27, 2014, 12:07:00 PM »
Here are some pics I got from the latest fall hunt in Ohio with Marlin at the Limbhanger Lodge. Sorry for all the pics but its a great time and its so hard to show all the events with pictures. This year we had another great hunt with Marlin, Ronnie, Gary and his dogs Gabby and Gia. Cutter and Kee Kee were on on their game as well. Poor Marlin had to drag David and myself along miles of woods trying to get us in Birds. Gary was along every day with his dogs Gia and Gabby to help. We brok a couple of flocks that we had to walk away from due to the closeness to property lines.....but we sat down on one flock that we took all three birds from at different times which made for a great long hunt. David and I took birds fast on the set up , but Gary really had to EARN his BEARDED hen, and it had a HUDGE beard for a hen let me say. We sat out with a day and a half to try to get Marlins bird on video but we didn't pull that off . Marlin invited us to stay over after that for opening day duck hunt which was a blast. We had another great time this year Marlin-thanks is never enough-one of my favorite hunts every year with friends and great dogs . I want to thank you Ronnie and Gary for your efforts and sharing the dogs and the woods with us. Its a cherished hunt my friend .....

Looks like a good time was had by all, congrats on the bird.nothing like hunting turkeys with dogs in the fall.   Only a couple days for me now. Cutter has a sore nail on his back foot , but is getting better everyday , and I think Rosie is coming in to heat, I'm not sure how we are going to deal with that.

You all did a great job. Dogs can really increase the fun when hunting turkeys in the Fall. The group I hunt, with took 8 turkeys in three days with the dogs this week in Va. Congrats!  *up* *up* *up* *up*
