New to one-siders
« on: October 03, 2014, 07:45:13 AM »
I want to thanks the Mckamey's for putting up with us Kentuckians last weekend! They opened up there beautiful home and rolled out the red carpet for us rednecks. We can't thank you enough for your hospitality!!  *cheers* This was our annual trip (#4). This years lesson was One-Siders!! One thing I found out quick is, These things are a pain in the @$$ to make. I was very pleased how they turned out though. Thanks Jeff for the Education and Experience... You'd the Man!!

The one on the left is Yellowheart over Butternut. The other is Walnut over mineral green Poplar. Both will go hunting. Thanks for the look!!

Dynamite in a Little Package.   *up* *up* *up*I carry one of Jeff's with me to woods every hunt.  My Old School mentor carried a Fool Proof Lynch and an Orginal Tom Turpin.  The Best of both worlds.  I carry Jeff's, My Nephew's Turpin, and an Old Stribling that I made.  The best of of Three Worlds.  ------You get one of those ready for our trade in Nashville My Friend.  I like it a little on the high pitched side. *lol*

Brent obviously you slipped in the shop and hit your head before you made the decision to build one siders *lol*. They are definitely a pain in the rear.  Those turned out great ! Jeff loves building them.  *peep*
