The Grizz!
« on: September 06, 2014, 08:04:02 PM »
I suspect not all folks will take the opportunity to see all the calls in the auction, even though they should because the remarkable talent abounds  *bannana* *bannana* and from a callmaker, I genuniely appreciate the effort everyone involved has done to keep our heart/cause beating strong and to help keep moving forward with site improvements.   *up* To that end, and hopefully I don't tip the apple cart, I wanted to post my contribution for the auction.

This call is Persimmon from Indiana over Green Heart Poplar from Wilcox Co, Alabama.  The end blocks are Zebrawood and the inlay accents are Redheart.  I honestly had no idea what I was going to do this time, but I knew I wanted to do something different, but wildlife related.  Well, I have a beautiful white ink drawing on black board that my Mom did many years before she passed hanging just above where I do my wood burning...that drawing is of a Grizzly Bear, and so I was inspired-thanks Mom ;).  The rest I think is self explanatory.

I have been a admirer of your work from the start.

Special Call my friend.  Mississippi Callmakers will have a big booth this next year in Nashville.  Hope you can spend some time this year with this old southern boy.  My special Witter box (Crossroads Gobbler) means the world to me.  That one is Special for sure.   Mr. E
