It's go Osage or go home
« on: April 22, 2014, 07:27:20 PM »
day tomorrow :)  If it's not yellow, it's not rolling with me...  Got all my calls lined out and ready to show off for the farmer's daughter!!!

Got close to one today, but couldn't close the deal.  Did have a jake at 20 steps and she did not harvest him.  She's thinking big and hopefully I can get her a good one tomorrow!

My only problem is, not sure I have enough yeller calls  *peep*

Give that Yaller striker a run tomorrow.  That thing was a pain in the butt to make.  You better hunt it.  *lol*

Well what an interesting morning...  coyote attack, peacocks out in our field, and birds are a hammering.  Trying to let things settle down and then we will go after them hard core!  Dang peacocks are back here breeding and they are supposed to be penned up.  Thinking maybe a turkey/peacock fight will brew :)

Congrats Mike on a great gobbler you were able to call in this morning!!

Thanks man... today was darn exciting.. .forgot my pot calls (Steve I did remember to pack the osage "Magic Wand", but doesn't do a bit of good without the second part :( ), forgot my vest, heck I forgot my 20 gauge for the young lady too, but she smoked the bird at 41 yards.  I was harassing her after the shot and said ... I forgot to tell you where to put the dot... she goes duh on the head..  I think she shoots better than me  *peep*

And I failed at a pic with her.  She didn't seem to interested in it.. but I can tell you she is a very lovely brunette :)  She was very glad she passed on the jake yesterday and she handled the 12 gauge might fine!

Video/pictures, or it didn't happen!  I'll put my $ on the gobbler,  *lol*

Congrats on a successful hunt and a bird down for the lovely farmer's daughter!  Now, go out there and wax another one!
