yes i do.. Cherry, slate over purpleheart, no finish on it, and i have made a few birds gobble with it, not much else though, lol.

Still have mine.  My first was a long box.  The left side sounded great, but I kept working on the right side until I realized that I had sanded the radius flat.             It still sits on my mantle to remind me of what started this obsession.

I have my first friction,  glass /glass maple pot.  Ugly dang thing but pulled in 3 birds first weekend out.   Gave the very first call, a wingbone to a good friend.

I still have my 1st slate call killed a turkey the first day with it and a few since, now it's in it's proper place.  Also have the 1st box might have to give it a try before long.  The first thing I made was a wing bone and I still have it but what started me making was strikers. Sanded pegs with deer horn heads . I have a couple of them.
