Turkey Tails and Tales from across the U.S.A. by Tom "Doc" Weddle  is a great read. by Hookspur
I just got East of the Slash by Wade Wineman Jr.  yesterday and started to read it.  
The Tenth Legion by Tom Kelly is a must read for any turkey hunter.

I'll second the Turkey Tails and Tales from across the U.S.A. by Tom Weddell. If you like sitting around a campfire and telling stories about your hunt or hearing somebody else tell stories about their hunt you will love this book. I'm not a reader and I couldn't put it down.

My friend Jim Casada has a new book he published last year which focuses on the The Great Turkey Hunting Masters of the past. It is a great read and covers alot of great hunters like Wayne Bailey, Dick Kirby, Neil Cost, and Doug Camp, just to name a few.

All of the above are real good reads.  Also ya mite want to check out some work by Jim Spencer, Charlie Elliot, John McDaniel or Ray Eye.  These run more to stories of hunts. Casada has a good list of turkey hunting books to chose from. Archibald Rutledge and Henry Davis are real good reads and talk about the old days of hunting which is interesting.

I hear Kenny Morgan's wife is releasing his last book this fall too. Redbeard is also putting out a book that will be a great read I bet.

I read Doc's book just a while back and can also recommend it. Doris and I spent a weekend with Doc in our booth at the NWTF Convention last month and he is the real deal, plus a very nice man.

No one has mentioned "Home, at Last, is the Hunter," by W. H. (Chip) Gross.  One of the most overlooked of the turkey hunting classics.

Docs book is very good..

I have not read all the old books mentioned, but Ray Eyes Turkey Hunters Bible is probably the best piece of turkey literature I have read. Really tackles alot of the mental aspects of the sport.
