Where was this event held?
At the Dixie Deer Classic. They've been doing this now for about 4-5 years. When you enter the Jim Graham Building on the NC State Fairgrounds, go all the way to the back left. The North Carolina Chapter of the NWTF is back there working with the callmakers contest, selling raffle tickets (they're giving away 62 guns in 31 days, go on the ncnwtf website, and working with JAKES by donating a box call for over 500 kids. It is a great place to get a very good call at a better than reasonable price. They put the first three places, or maybe a few more, in each category on ebay and sell the rest on silent auction at the Classic. Some awesome calls could have been bought dirt cheap. The Dixie Deer Classic celebrated its 35th year this year. It is the largest and most successful outdoor show in North Carolina. It is held the first weekend of March each year. If I'm not mistaken, it will be Feb. 27, 28 and March 1 next year.
