A few weeks back I asked Ernie fetters if he could add me to his list for a hunting trumpet . He asked what woods I like and I told him that I like his African blackwood and snakewood . A couple weeks passed and I came home to a box from New York sent by Ernie. I opened it up and inside was this beautiful and well crafted trumpet made from both blackwood and snakewood and adorned with Ernie's hand turned brass and ivory mouthpiece . This trumpet plays easy and draws a yelp and kee with no effort at all . It absolutely sings turkey and has the classiest style . Well fast forward to Nashville and Ernie brings me the sister to the trumpet in the form of a really sweet Jordan style yelper made from blackwood and snakewood to match my trumpet and he put a wingbone mouthpiece on this one which I prefer. I had to have it of course and they make a really fine pair of calls from an even finer gentleman . Ernie , you are top shelf my friend !! Thanks a bunch .
