Son's Birthday present
« on: December 05, 2009, 09:33:17 AM »
My son is a John Deere nut.  He knows more about tractors at the age of 8 than most people know when they are 30.  I'd seen Strut-N (Scotty) post his John Deere calls a while back.  I've been contemplating on what to get my son that is special.  Well I decided I'd mix one of my favorites and one of his (I'm hoping turkey hunting becomes one of his too :) )

I've had this call for a couple of weeks, but not had a chance to get it out and take pictures with the boy being around.  Luckily he was sound asleep so I took the opportunity.  This glass call will be with us when he decides he wants to go and harvest his first bird!  Scotty thanks for taking the time to build this call.  It's amazing.  It's my first one from Strut-N, but it will not be my last one!  And luckily, yellow and green being JD's colors... you can guess what wood it is made out of  ROTFLMBO

I'll have more pictures when the boy opens it and when he's playing the call!
