I think they did this last year. And yeas, it's winner take all. I think they sold tickets for it. I'm not sure of the ins and outs of it, but there were several call makers put calls in last year. I know Scott Basehore, and Mike Lapp, I think maybe Don and Sarah Clark. I can't remember everybody who put calls in. I know there were a bunch of nice calls in it.

They sold raffle tickets at the custom call live auction for a group of calls donated by various call makers.  Raffle tickets were sold in $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 increments if I recall correctly.  Yes it is a one winner takes all drawing, I remember as I was that lucky person last year!  *bannana*
Last year the list of call makers who donated were:
Mike Lapp
Jeff McKanney
Tim Bullock
D. Marlin Watkins
Bob Fulcher
Pat Strawser
Don & Sarah Clark
Irving Whitt
Scott Witter
Eric Rice
Bill Lyman
Ed Terefencko
Brian Mero
Steve Lumma
Don Bald
Gary L. Anderson
Tony Quarino

Thank you to the above call makers again for participating last year and good luck to everyone once again this year.. *cheers*

Two years ago there were about six of us who donated calls. Last year that number doubled. Tickets are sold for $20 each , raising alot of money for the federation. Callmakers who donate do not get any recognition or even a thank you from tHe NWTF. They sure do like callmakers helping them raise money but they dont do anything to help the callmakers . They price the booths so high that your average callmaker cant afford to display anymore. Take, take take...the federation is well versed at that.

Winning the raffle is like hittingbthe turkey call lotto. Its great for the winner. My point is it started small and now they want to have a big pile of free calls from hardworking callmakers but they dont recognize or thank you for doing so. I am very active in the nwtf chapter that I co-founded and I donate calls to every chapter that asks me as well as enter all my calls at 100% donation . I enjoy helping where I can , I just wonder when the federation will stop putting its hand out.

I still donate calls to my local chapter that I helped start,  but only because all money raised by mine & others are to raise money for the local chapter only.

Some clubs are just as bad.  Last year, I donated a striker and went to their banquet.  Not one official even walked up and said hello let alone thanks.  I won't go back.

I agree, the NWTF has forgotten where they started and who got them there. They are very quick to put their hand out for help by almost non assistant when it come to thanking those that the made the dollars from. That said, don't think that the good deeds you and many other have done, go unnoticed. Many of us who attend the Nashville convention, now a days, go for the fellowship and not for all the mumbojumbo the NWTF puts on.

I have asked for and have gotten calls donated from serveral call makers for my local  and state bqs. Some people take call makers for granted but I never once have not thanked them personally. Maybe I am the exception which I should not be.
