For a Proud Kentucky Dad!
« on: January 06, 2014, 06:49:05 PM »
Here is a Persimmon (man I love this wood for lids!!) over Black Cherry built as a gift for a father to his son who took his 1st gobbler last season.  I asked Dad if he was present on the hunt, "yes" he said, but his proudest moment came when the son then hunted the next day alone, but saw nor heard anything, not discouraged he hunted the day after that and took his 2nd longbeard by himself.  I do believe we have to makings of a new turkey thug in Kentucky--way to show him the way dad!!

Great story Scott, isn't it great to take part in a family's momentous occasion. Looks like you did him right with a true work of art. Congrats to the young man.

Awesome caller. Love the wood burning. Does the walking longbeard have two beards?

Scott, I like the scenes you have burned on that call.  Always liked the double bearded gobbler and the roosted one.  Great work as always! *bowing*

I can only imagine how completely thrilled that boy is going to be when he gets that box from his dad...and how thrilled dad will be to give it to him. Gift of a lifetime for both of them.
