I am in big trouble--what a mess !!!~!!

Well well well... what can I say but luckily I know the Postmasters around here pretty good, so I was able to redirect a package meant for more Northern MO (augiedog's package... cough... cough...) and have it delivered here...

The yellow dust that coated poor Jeff's garage, tools, and vehicles was from the creation of a wonderful osage/walnut call.  Needless to say, I'm pretty sure augiedog will not get this call forwarded on to him

This is the 1st Osage call out of Jeff's shop and I don't believe it will be the last   Rumor has it he's already making some more yellow dust fly!!!!

I must say that it nice  Mike... Jeff great call.... I knew I shouldn't have cast my eyes on thats color call. The yellow...It shines like gold.  Weigh as much too..
 I have a confession to make.After swearing up and down that I hated THAT wood also. I did the unforgivable. I lied to my  family and friends. I'm a call junkie  ..I couldn't help it.   I thought no one would find me out.....
 Last  night in a  very  very  very weak moment. i ordered a call......They box is an exceptable wood but the lid....just the lid mind you is.........YES OSAGE. I thought I might be able to hide this call and just get it out when no one was around... ROTFLMBOKeep it secretly hid away under lock and key.
 Well after a sleepless night I had to come clean. My  longbox call has a lid from ...yes the wood that stokes SATIN STOVE  ... yes  staight from LUCIFER LUMBER PILE...
If you want to  me I'll understand...I'm a fonnie. A very week call junkie at best.
I'm going to throw myself on my sword    now....
If you wish to  me i'm will to accept my punishment..

Oh my... after a day in the hospital with the wife, I'm not sure any post could have lightened me up any better!!!!

I'm sitting here laughing my hind end off...  Two bad things have happened with this site.  My pockets are getting emptier and emptier (that's thanks to some great callmakers coming on board and from some subtle input from VARIOUS members...  I blame everything on augiedog, which somehow finds it's way back to hunter22's fault too  .. and we cannot forget to put blame on bulldogmikey either .... shoot and turkey stew has been known to spend some of my funds also  ) and now people are finding out about the magic of the OSAGE.  I've seen more and more longboxes with osage paddles than I ever dreamed I would.  I'll have a mess of Osage Turpins for many many years of use!  Some great input on some great calls to make to my additions.  Problem is, I am running out of room to store them and my Osage built call display, well I was quoted it would cost me $2,569,897.99.  That was a little more than I expected 

Augiedog, don't you dare try to get an osage shortbox.... we might have words then   

(really sad part is, I ordered one of those darn cypress/osage calls too... not sure which one of us pulled the trigger first, but I'll tell the wife augiedog did and blame that on him too  ... hey he admitted it first

So Jeff, tell me how you get that dust off,,, I haven't even started on the Osage strikers yet,need some input, here is a picture of my hat after working with Cypress all day, stuff is even stickier than Osage, and this is after blowing myself down with the air hose. I didn't dare come into the house until after Jill left,,, Nice looking call by the way!

Heck---you will never get all that YELLER dust swept away. I think I have an idea for it now. I am going to gather it all up....mix it with some glue...and make me a mould to pour that shapes out a box body, and recycle the dust into another call. Fire Porter a pic, and he will take the bait !!!!!

i'm thinking about spray painting a pair of old socks yellow and see if i can him to buy them as a back up, i'm sure i can $25 for them, knowing how strong his osage lust is.
