A Mississippi Delta Christmas Ball
« on: November 22, 2013, 07:37:59 AM »
Just finished these three Ladies and three Gentleman for a River Hunter up The Mississippi.  He came by and put in an order last year in Nashville when he recognized and played my old Stribling.  He wanted these three sporting top hats, so I dressed them up with the brass and sending them up river for a big Christmas Party.

Thanks for the look.

Mr. E

A fine trio of calls Mr. E.  Some lucky hunters are in for a heck of a good time down at the Delta party.

Thanks for sharing.

You make em look good John.  Some turkeys are going to be in  trouble in a few months.

Thank's for the comments.  Starting today on another order from the same area - Five Turpins.  Thank goodness they are hunting models.  I need to start making some for Nashville.

Mr. E

On a side note.  The gentleman that ordered these 3 boxes, told me there was an old hunter from the Tom Turpin days that  lived near him.  He showed him five orginal Turpin shortboxes that he had used.  He said 3 of them were still in the box.  I asked if they had the 3 small nails in the top hat and he said "Sure Did".  Now that would be five to die for.
