Well when I came home after my long hunting trip, I'm not sure I could have been anymore pleased... I had a package from Mr. Charlie Parrish. I knew the Walnut Cost style box would be in it, but it was bigger than one call should be in. I opened it up and to my amazement... there was The Twins!!!!
Two all Osage Turpins. I about dropped the package. I could not believe my eyes. See I'd picked on Charlie years ago about building me some Osage Turpins. He's always told me I was crazy for liking Osage. I just laughed and never dreamed I'd ever see an all Osage Turpin. I have a deep liking for Turpins thanks to Charlie. I cherish my all maple Turpin from him dearly. Turpins have a very unique sound and some people just do not like the Turpin sound. I think they are different and so much tradition is inside each Turpin. It takes me back in time when I play them!
Needless to say, my Christmas came in November this year. Not only did I have one all Osage Turpin, but I now had two. One will be for display and one will be getting blood on her!
