My 20 Turkey Thumper....
« on: October 29, 2013, 06:04:17 PM »
I finally am able to officially say I got my new turkey thumper!! I really liked the idea of a single shot in a twenty after reading various posts and I went with a Baikal MP18...... Sumtoy did all the modifications to the gun, threaded for inter-changeable chokes, fine-tuned the trigger, lengthened the forcing cone, 562-5 choke, got it set up for an FFIII, swivel studs in...... ready to roll. I added a simple Slimline Claw sling. Dipped at Wet Geared Graphics.... I am super pleased with the end results. I have only put some old field loads through it but I like what I am seeing!
A couple pics....

Very nice!  What's the barrel length?

That thing should be a pleasure to carry and shoot.  Congrats!

26" Barrel

It is nothing like my 835 and Magblends or Chucks H&R 10.  *lol*

I have some Federal HW 7's that I will be trying out hopefully this fall. I try to get them in close so I am not really looking for big numbers, just a well balanced pattern.

UH HUH! That is a nice set up you have there especially when climbing these mts. around here.
Best of luck that should do the job quite well.
