Bill, The short yelpers were the first calls I made to have a reamed interior. I stopped making them when I got better equipment and began to make a more traditional looking trumpet in the same year, 2000. The 1917s have the same drilled and stepped down interior as the Jordans made since 1996 out of the man made material, but with the flarred bell.
