Kee-Kee first bird
« on: November 18, 2009, 03:15:55 PM »
With the help of good friend Gratten Hepler and his brittany Missy we were able to get my dog Kee-Kee in on her first kill. Both dogs hit a beech covered ridge and soon the birds were flying. One flew directly over mine and fellow hunter Dave Blakes head we both fired and the bird hit the ground.Kee-Kee came to the shot and upon finding the bird went wild.We sat up the blind and managed to call two birds back in but the shot was missed.Kee-Kee did really well in the blind.I feel this was the missing link in the puzzle for her and hope this is the first of many more successful hunts.I'm sorry but I have no pictures as there was amix up on who was going to carry a camera.Oh well I have a memory that will last a life time and a picture wounldn't do it justice anyway.Off to KY next month if nothing happens maybe someone will carry a camera this time.

She didn't bark on the flush this time, but she has in the past.Hopefully that will come on alittle stronger as she ages.
