How can it be that there is not one turkey hunting magazine available in the country.

Turkey and Turkey Hunting stopped publishing a while back.  Not sure but I thought that they may start back up.  They may be only
 online.

At my house- I trip over magazines the wife and girls get- alot don't make any sense how they stay on the shelves,,,,,
How can it be we don't have turkey hunting dedicated magazines anymore- at Nashville I met a guy with mossy oak that talked to me about a turkey thug magazine they planned to do- don't know what happened to that one either-

Magazines cost money to publish.  They will all be going away soon and become digital and online.  You can already get an online copy of most magazines.

Turkey Country magazine still published bi-monthly. Turkey and Turkey Hunting only publishes six months a year and they concentrate on Deer and Deer Hunting magazine, the rest of the year. I think they still put out a Turkey hunting magazine/newsletter in South Carolina.

Thanks for the replies. I'm to old to be one who is going to spend all evening on a computer looking for something to read about turkey hunting. I just don't understand that we are such a small lot of hunters that we cannot support a magazine. There are at least three for bow hunters. Who knows how many for deer hunters. There is gun dog and waterfowl and even A T V and snowmobile. Our group must be smaller than I thought.

I feel the same way as you do Marlin. I hated to see Turkey And Turkey Hunting magazine go and I can't stand the format of turkey country.

I totally agree with you too.....I just don't like the NWTF's "Turkey Country", reminds me too much of Field & Stream or Outdoor Life, which basically gives you the same types of articles, year after year.  I liked Turkey & Turkey Hunting, but like someone else already said, it just got thinner and thinner until it finally died. Guess I'll just stick with my Fur-Fish-Game subscription!

reminds me too much of Field & Stream or Outdoor Life,

Reminds me of "Better Homes and Gardens" I hate it that that is the best the NWTF can do. Makes one miss the ol "Turkey Call" magazines.
