First completed pot call
« on: July 19, 2013, 08:19:56 PM »
Here she is.  Yellow heart (I think).   It started as a 4x4x2 bowl blank from a woodcraft box of blanks.  Slate over glass.  Sounds a little hollow for my taste, but I'm just glad it came out this decent.

Thanks guys.  Still really new to the lathe.  Other than this call and another that hasn't been finished, below are literally the only things I've ever turned on a lathe.

The fun turning on a lathe is finding your style and a design that you like. *cheers*

Looks great for your first call, striker looks good as well. I just started turning Pots recently myself, has been really fun. Keep at it, you'll get that Turkey out of the barrel.
