New guy here
« on: July 13, 2013, 10:44:58 AM »
My buddy savduck told me I should visit this site and after doing so I just had to join up.
I'm 52, live in VA and have been turkey huntin' for 30 some years now, the last 18 in a wheelchair due to a treestand accident that left me paralyzed from the chest down.
As a former woodworker I am amazed at some of the calls produced these days and I appreciate every opportunity to view each new piece of turkey call art.
I am a tube call freak as that is the only call I've used since my accident. I am in the process of learning how to run trumpets and I must say it is a humbling experience.
Anyway, I look forward to being a part of this site.

Welcome buddy.  I too am a tube call fan and love running them all the time.  Look forward to seeing you around.  Your buddy Sav. can run a trumpet very well so I am sure he will make for a great teacher.-----Jason

Jason, look forward getting some tube call tips from you. Yeah, Del is the reason I tried trumpets and he has been a big help to me

Folks, Barry is solid and despite his 'limitations' he is a turkey thug, simply a die-hard turkey hunter.  Barry, glad to have you aboard.
Scott.  BTW, how is your brother and the call?
