Back early in January I sent a Gentleman a Friends request via FB, not knowing what would happen in return. I had checked out his work and asked if he would make me a Scratch Box Call. In a response, I told him I had never used a Scratch Box. He stated that he would make me a call and let me know when it would be ready for shipment.I had told him that I would like to be at home to get it out of the mailbox and that me and my wife were expecting our arrival of our 1st Son. On the evening of January 29th, I recieved a call from him saying my call was finished. I asked if he could wait a couple of days because we were at the hospital holding Our Newborn Son. We spoke briefly and he asked the baby's name and sending his gratitude to my and I.He also told me to be expecting a 2nd package. We were released on the 31st. Not sure of the exact date that the 2 packages arrived, but opening the 1st one, he had made me a Scratch Box Call that was Hunt Ready.I opened the 2nd package, I was ASTONISHED of what was in this box along with a letter that reads: This scratchbox turkey call was handmade for Colin Jacob Freeman to commemorate his birth on 1/29/2013. This call is made from black walnut that came from my friend Dick Kirby of Quacker Boy Game Calls. The soundboard is made from canarywood from South America and the base is coffeenut wood from Kentucky. Also says, Colin, when you are old enough to carry a gun in the woods, take this old call and grab your Dad, then head to the woods and hunt turkeys every chance you get. Hunting turkeys has been one of my greatest pursuits since I was 12. I have been lucky enough to take 170 turkeys home for dinner and I hope I never get to old to chase those old gobblers! I hope this call will bring you much success in the woods. Tell your friends that you got your first turkey call from the Ol' ShadeTree.... Good Hunting, enjoy this little turkey call! Your friend, Bob Fulcher In the 2nd picture I think Colin is telling his Mom, "Hey Look Mom, You have my shoes on the wrong feet." When the National Convention rolls back in to Nashville, 2014, Colin and Myself will be looking up Bob Fulcher to give a much deserved handshake. Never have personally met Bob,but He is a TRUE Friend to do this for a Proud Dad just recieveing a Gift from God then sending us this call for Colin. Thank You Bob...ps waiting on Nashville, 2014. ONE PROUD Dad and Turkey Hunter!!
