I came across three hens with poults during my morning walk...feathered out and flying well which helps ensure their survivability at this most vulnerable stage. This hen stopped and waited for the poults to catch up which allowed me to get a few shots..I then quietly backed out of the area so they could continue to enjoy a gorgeous June morning...

I was working in the shop this morning trying to get a dust collection system set up..opened the door and spotted this
hen with poults in the field..she had at least half a dozen with her. I grabbed the camera and waited for two hours to get a shot were you could see at least some of the poults following the hen, moving several times and enduring hordes of mosquitoes...nice to see some young-uns in the back forty....
