Hybrid
« on: April 16, 2013, 02:07:39 PM »
I wasn't sure what to call this..an experiment I guess.  ;D  I bored the call similar to a Jordan type call, then reamed the bell section with a tapered reamer. What I was looking for was something that had the potential for a deeper tone, but could still be used to imitate a hen. Going by my notes from a previous experiment, I lucked out and got the internals just right. I wasn't sure how it would all work out, so I used some maple I had rescued from a stack of firewood. I'm still not sure about the overall external design, may tweak it some but am very happy with the way it sounds.
Thanks for looking..Dave
