Well this morning brought forth Rain Rain Rain...I had been seein 5 gobblers court some hens on my hunting property. I watched them yesterday evening stay in the pasture till roost time...There was definately a pecking order although all the birds were real nice ones....but they would not challenge the strutter they just hung out behind him...they fed off to the timber...This morning I new with the rain they would be going back to that pasture and where I sat up they had to travel my direction...There was a large Pond on one side they had to come around...I sat until 745 with out hearing a sound..I had one hen answer me and fly down just as the rain subsided....about 20 minutes later I look toward the pond and around the corner comes 5 Gobblers...4 Jakes and 5 hens...all together !!! no gobbling...not a peep...The hen fed toward the decoys and the strutter leads the way right to my gun barrel...

uneventful but effective...
