Tennessee #4
« on: April 10, 2013, 10:19:14 PM »
This bird had been roosting behind my house and I have been hunting him briefly every morning before work. ( I only have about 30 minutes after fly down before I have to leave). I had almost killed him a couple if mornings, but he always seemed to give me the slip. Anyways, today was the day he finally messed up. I'm a little sad because now I can't chase him before work anymore. His beard isn't much, not sure what happened to it. It was scraggly, thin, and short. If he wasn't such a big turkey he could be mistaken for a jake because if his beard. He was a tank, weighing in at 27 pounds and had razor sharp 1 3/8" hooks. A heck of a bird to finish Tennessee with.

Clint
