Something different
« on: March 21, 2013, 05:37:41 PM »
At Nashville, I was asked to try something different by a member.  Something outside of my comfort zone as far as strikers is concerned.
Dymond wood and flared tip to boot.  I agreed but decided that I needed to make a straight tip first to see how it would work and sound.
I like them.  The straight tip is mine.  The flared tip is headed to Ohio.

I do also Bill.  I personally prefer a straight tip.  Some don't.  I thought that I would give it a try.
Tommy,  Dymond wood is softer than I usually use for strikers, but these don't sound bad.  It's definately different.
I'll give mine a good run in Texas.

Thanks for the comments.
