David had told me a while back he'd put together a killer wormy butternut Osage call. I told him if it wasn't spoken for, I'd love to have it. I went on and told him I wanted something from him that I could hunt with and not worry about beating up his fine art work with too. That's one reason I built the Club down there...
When I was getting ready to go, David had a smile and went to the house. Out came this killer call. David told me how much he loved the call and we played it over and over. It's just something about the sound of Osage that gets me going. It has a nice twang to it and this call is pure nasty.
I hear David say how much he enjoyed the call and figured, well he's done and hooked on this one so I can forget taking this one home. I'll admit I was a bit depressed and I didn't know if he'd ever try making another one again.
David turned to me and said... I expect some bird kills with this here call. Man I was in a candy store then!!! I'm glad he didn't doctor this one up and I have a youth weekend coming up and you'd better believe this box will be with me!!!
David I cannot thank you enough for all your help and support and most importantly friendship over these years!
I just hope ole David doesn't shoot me for posting this one
