The backup boxcall
« on: March 17, 2013, 12:29:31 PM »
I make a benefit call each year for our local Jakes program. For those who saw a previous post, the first call was "confiscated" by the wife for her "collection".  This is the backup I put together for the kids. Spalted Pecan body with Sumac and walnut end blocks and details. Lid is black walnut with a butternut, ebony, holly and 1/4 sawn sycamore feather inlay and some more real old mud cured 1/4 sawn sycamore and deer antler to  dress her up a bit. Presentation base is a variety of woods. Turned out decent. Certainly not up to the level of some of the true artists that post here but it works for me and brought good $ for our local kids fishing day.
